The WoodWizz was invented by a man who already knew the problems with cutting and finishing wood.  Les Owen was a builder who made furniture in his spare time.

This is what the inventor has to say about his incredible machine.

"Essentially the WoodWizz is an overhead routing system.  It is a leveling system designed to level timber, particularly table tops and burls."

"Without this machine the only way to level a piece of timber is by hand.  With the WoodWizz it does not matter what shape, how thick or how wide the piece of timber is - we can go out to about 3m."

"I developed it for my own use but when it worked so well, I decided to put it on the market.  We launched it at the Melbourne Timber and Working with Wood Show last October and it created an enormous amount of interest."
